FI All-Faiths Chapel & Community Centre was filled-to-the-brim for the Thom Conners 4/13 funeral. A great golfer & a Comm Centre attendee he had won the hearts of so many here on Fripp who will greatly miss him. As part of the wedding celebrations on 4/24, Al Traffie (from New Haven) used the Centre to present an evening of Gospel Music which was open to the residents as well as his wedding guests! What good music and great fun! This months ROMEO at the Centre was attended by about 65 guys who enjoyed spaghetti & meat balls & bad jokes. The Centre is having a ‘clean-up’ (inside & outside) scheduled for 5/8 for the Spring CleanUp---please help (from 8AM til Noon). You’ll probably be here, since Mother’s Day is 5/9!(& don’t forget it) The monthly dinners will begin again in Oct & continue thru April’1l. Nov 23/2010 will mark the 30th Anniv of the Community Center & a gala celebration is being planned. The Treasure Sale will be Sat, 6/26 & donated material will be ‘picked up’- just call 838-9408 & of course, they need volunteers.
