FI Garden Club, 2/3 meeting was most enjoyable with Alice Massey –Master Gardener (from Dataw Island) talking to us regarding the freezing temps, high tides & high amt of rain this year! She told us which plants to prune this time of year & all the different plants, fertilizers, etc to use. A delightful, & very educational presentation! The upcoming 3/3 meeting will cover the importance of the native plants & their care by our own Jane TenEyck. Also Shelia Tindall with talk a little about Rain Gardens & her recent experience w/a neighboring property & the ARB. The Winter Garden Festival is opening at the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in the Charleston Area on 2/28. Many of the 20,000 camellias are in bloom. On 2/6 Chuck & I went to the Oglethorpe Mall (Sav) to see the Annual Camellia Show which turned out to be a stunning variety of colorful blooms. Afterward, we got blissfully lots in the Barnes & Noble store next door!
