The wacky weather continues & I don’t for a minute think it’s global warming – it’s freezing down here! We, on Fripp, got NO snow, but according to The Island News, 2/18, “Beaufort got a rare treat Fri evening as snow fell for nearly 5 hrs in most areas of the Lowcountry. An inch of powder fell in the night sky as power outages occurred throughout the city. It was a beautiful & tranquil sight to see.” However, an article in the Post & Courier demonstrated how SC folks don’t have a clue about how to drive in snow. The weekend before the snow there were 798 collisions & the Fri & Sat w/snow there were 2,346! They called that weekend the Snowpocalypse! We’re from up north-this was nothing!
