Savannah’s great for entertainment: at the Savannah Theatre “The Beat Goes On” & “The Return to the 50’s” are both show stoppers & you’ll be thanking us for the tip. Also, here’s someone we just enjoyed who is well received. A local thesbian, TRAE GURLEY has parlayed his love of Sinatra & a flair for swing into a popular night club act 2 that finds him emulating the late star’s big band yrs to pre-recorded backing. He appears on Thur from 7:30-11PM at 3 Jazz’d Tapas Bar in Sav.& has been drawing nice crowds. Originally he was a saxaphonist in high schl, then a guitarist. (His CD,‘The Good Life’ its quite special). He also performs w/Jeremy Davis & his big band & will be part of the Sav Mercer celebration in Sept. The Lucas Theatre had a 4th of July patriotic presentation prior to the fireworks on River St.
