Many of our usual clubs are quiet during the summer months (except Romeo & the Yacht Club-see below)   1 but the traffic is definitely busy with carts, cars & bikes. The beach, pools, restaurants, bike path, fishing pier & marina are super active. Our ocean temperature has reached 83º & with lots of kids enjoying boogie boards & plenty of umbrellas & tents on the beach. The beginning of the month we had high tides at 7’9” & 8’ making our mid-island beach ‘tidal pool’ VERY large & very deep –impossible to walk across. Mid-month the high tides were only 5.5’ & there were many low times when you could walk right across the much-smaller tidal pool. How the children really love this ‘extra pool attraction’!
